RRB NTPC UG CBT 2 Result 2026: How to Check, Scorecard and What Next
The wait is over. The Railway Recruitment Boards declared the RRB NTPC UG CBT 2 result for CEN 07/2025 on 30 October 2026. If you wrote the Undergraduate second-stage exam on 17 September 2026, you can now check whether your roll number is on the shortlist for the 3,058 Undergraduate posts, download your scorecard, and see the cut off for your RRB and category. Everything was published on the regional RRB websites — there is no single central result page, which is where most candidates get stuck. Here is exactly how to check, step by step.
First, find your result PDF
The result itself is a PDF list of shortlisted roll numbers, published separately by each Railway Recruitment Board along with its cut off marks. Go to the website of the RRB you applied to — the same board you chose in your application — and look in the results or CEN 07/2025 section for the CBT 2 result notice. Open the PDF and search for your roll number with Ctrl+F. If your number is there, you are shortlisted for the next stage for the post or posts listed against it.
Do not download the result from a random link in a message group. Copies of these PDFs get edited and reposted every cycle, and a fake list can tell you the wrong answer either way. The regional RRB site is the only version that counts — our download page explains how to reach the official sites safely.
Then download your scorecard
The roll-number list only tells you yes or no. Your actual marks are on your scorecard, which opened with the result. To get it:
- Open the scorecard login link on your regional RRB website.
- Log in with your registration number and date of birth (some boards ask for your roll number and password instead).
- Your scorecard shows your marks in each section, your total, your normalised score and your qualifying status.
- Download the PDF and keep more than one copy. You will need it at document verification.
Forgotten your registration number? It is printed on your application confirmation and was sent to your registered email and mobile when you applied. Search your inbox before you panic. If the scorecard page is crawling, that is normal on result day — lakhs of candidates log in at once. Try again in the evening or early morning rather than refreshing every ten seconds.
Check the cut off for your board, not someone else's
Each RRB published its own cut off with this result, post-wise and category-wise. Kolkata's cut off tells you nothing about Patna's. Compare your normalised score only against your own board, your own post and your own category. Our cut off guide explains how these numbers are set — normalisation across shifts, the number of seats, and how many candidates sit in each category — which helps you judge how close the miss was if you did not make the list.
What happens next if you qualified
For the two typist posts of this cycle — Junior Clerk cum Typist and Accounts Clerk cum Typist — the next stage is a Computer Based Typing Skill Test, tentatively scheduled for 27 November 2026. It is a qualifying test: you need to hit the required typing speed, in English or Hindi as you chose, but its marks do not add to your merit score. Start practising now, daily, on a real keyboard. Twenty focused minutes a day for four weeks is enough for most people to reach a safe speed, but only if you start this week.
After the typing test comes document verification, where your original certificates are checked against everything you claimed in the form — Class 10 and 12 marksheets, category certificate, and identity documents. Then a medical examination against the standard of your post. Keep your documents in one folder from today; candidates lose weeks hunting for a caste certificate format at the last minute.
If you did not qualify
Read your scorecard before you decide anything. A miss by a few marks in a 3,058-post cycle is a different thing from a miss by thirty. And there is genuinely good news this time: the next NTPC cycle is already open. Applications for CEN 07/2026 Undergraduate posts (1,688 posts) run until 13 November 2026, and Graduate applications under CEN 06/2026 run until 6 November. If you are eligible, apply — our apply online guide has the steps, and this time there is no typing test in the new cycle at all. Your CBT 2 preparation carries over almost fully, because the syllabus has not changed.
